DINAMO SERVICE SHORT WASHING MACHINE

Posted by

Previously we discussed how to check dynamo short on washing machines / similar. Short on the dynamo most often occurs between the main winding and the starter. Generally occurs in crossing / second stack of windings outside the cool hole. Or it could also happen short in a cool hole, because some dynamo are not given a cover between the main and the starter. If the results of the checking have been confirmed that the dynamo will be short, the steps we will take are:
A). OVERCOME DINAMO SHORT

1.     Observe the state of the wire and paper / plastic mica on the wire cover and the bulkhead between the main coil and the starter (green in fig). If you see the wire appears to change color at one pole compared to the other pole or paper / plastic mica looks burnt / shrinks at one pole due to excessive heat, we can suspect that the poles are short. But if the short is not too severe, usually the wire and mica look smooth. So it's up to you to start which pole you want to check first.
2. Decide the strap on the pole that you want to check carefully, so that the wire is not scratched or cut off.
3. Remove the coupling from the main wire and the starter at point A (see fig.). If it has been released, it means that between the starter and the main there is no more connection. If tested with a tester it still has a relationship even though with a large resistance, it means the dynamo is still short.
4. Separate or stretch the starter poles and main stacks by pressing the starter pole into the inside by using the hand or screwdriver (if it is hard enough) the diameter / surface of the screwdriver is not too large / sharp and can be tucked between the main pole and the mid gap at the starter pole. Do it carefully so that the wire does not break or peel off the e-mail.
5. Check with the tester on the two wires that have been removed or can also be at points B and C (see fig.). If it's still short, go back to step 4 at the other pole while checking with the tester. Do it until the short part is found by marking the absence of a relationship between the main and the starter even though the position of the tester is on the X10K scale.
6. If the short section has been found, the enameled wire will appear. If it is not too bad (a lot), it is enough to return the chipped part after that, the loop is again trimmed and give the separator (mica) at the meeting / crossing of all the main poles and starters.
7. Reconnect all liites, return the wire and cable connection as before and do the checking again with the tester. After it is believed that the dynamo coil is no longer short, re-do the uniforming evenly.
B). OVERCOME THE DINAMO WHICH WAS DONE
Dinamo can be said to break up if we check with the tester between one output cable with the other cable that has no connection at all. If visually winding wire looks good as for the steps we can take are as follows:
1. Release / disconnect the strap on the cable first. Check all wire connections on the cable by removing the cable sleeves one by one (not infrequently the dynamo winding break occurs here).
2. To localize checking, check with the starter or main tester part which is broken.
3. If all the wires appear smooth and invisible or find a broken wire, we are forced to check the polar pole to find the broken part.
4. Start from the cable which from the initial check is not connected with the other. For the example we consider, the break is the main coil (A-B).
5. Peel a little email on the wire that comes out (end) from the 2nd pole or the base of the wire at the 3rd pole (center).
6. Check the relationship between the center to point A or B. If the break if between the center to B, then checking can be narrowed in the middle of the 2 poles between point B and center. That way it can be ascertained that the wire is broken.
7. After we get the broken pole, then we check again more carefully if you break up on the outside that we can connect. Even if we don't find it, we just need to roll at the broken pole.
 NOTE:
·         If the short or e-mailed wire has too much peeled or a lot of broken, you should do a new winding on the problematic polar winding. Consequently if the problem is the outer winding you only need to roll one pole, but if the inside you are forced to dismantle / amputate then roll back 3 poles at once, 2 outer poles and 1 inner pole are problematic.
·        Measure the diameter of the wire and calculate accurately the number of wires at the poles that will be rolled up new
Everything I describe and explain above is the result of my experience in overcoming the problems of the washing machine dynamo and others which of course cannot be said to be the most practical and comfortable for others. If you already understand the basics of how to roll dynamo and do a lot of work, then you will definitely find the best way / technique for you to overcome all kinds of problems with the dynamo.
Sorry if my delivery method and explanation are difficult to understand, please pay attention to the picture I uploaded to make it easier to understand. if not you can also ask in the comment column and I will try to give an answer as soon as possible.
This is just a reference for readers who are interested in pursuing improvements to the washing machine dynamo and others. Hopefully it can be helpful and useful.
I really hope for input and criticism in order to cover up the shortcomings in myself and for our mutual progress. Before and after I thank you.
